About
Solana Beach Dads Club is a community-based organization based in Solana Beach, California. Our club aims to provide a platform for dads to socialize, raise money to support local public schools, and engage in volunteer events. We strive to create a strong community of dads who are actively involved in the betterment of our local schools and neighborhoods. Whether you are looking to meet and hang out with other Solana Beach Dads, get involved in volunteering with our schools or simply want to make our school district a better place for our kids, all dads are welcome.

We hold three types of events:
1) We hold social events for local dads to hang out. Our locally famous glowball night golf event takes place each September at the Lomas Santa Fe Executive Golf Course. This year we will also be holding a blind wine tasting, a stand-up comedy night, and a game night. Additionally, we have pop up Dads' nights out. Our four main events all sell out quickly, if you are interested in attending make sure to register early.
2) We volunteer. Each year Dad's Club holds two pancake breakfasts for the students of Solana Vista and Skyline Schools. The breakfasts take place before the school day begins on campus. We also help the Solana Beach Schools Foundation to set up and run the annual Solana Vista Halloween Carnival.
3) We support our schools by providing our amazing teachers with catered lunches and other fun activities. Every dollar raised goes back to the organization.

Chris LaVine, Co-President
Chris has three kids in Solana Beach schools - a 4th graders at Skyline, a 2nd grader at Solana Vista, and a preschooler at Solana Beach Presbyterian Preschool. His wife Katie is also involved in Solana Beach life, sitting on the Board of Directors of the Solana Beach Little League. Chris is co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of a financial technology Company, Marstone.
Ben Coughlan, Co-President
Ben has two children at Solana Vista, Jack (2nd Grade) and Mackenzie (Kindergarten). Ben's wife Kathleen is also very involved in the school district, serving as the Co-Site President for Solana Vista for the Solana Beach Schools Foundation. Ben is a trial attorney specializing in personal injury. His firm Coughlan & Vinel LLP is located right here in Solana Beach. Additionally, Ben is a local having grown up nearby and is an alum of Solana Beach Little League (1993).
Kevin Brown, Social Chair
Kevin's daughter Billie is in second grade at Solana Vista. His son Beau will start at Solana Vista next year. Kevin and his wife Nicole are both locals having grown up in North County San Diego. Nicole grew up right here in Solana Beach. Kevin is a crane operator at Marco Crane & Rigging.
